Tina Turner shares tribute to late son who died earlier this month


A number of weeks after Tina Turner’s 59-year-old son, Craig Turner, took his personal life, the well-known rock-and-soul singer has shared a tribute to him on her Twitter feed.

Turner posted a photograph of herself with husband Erwin Bach participating in a memorial for her son on the deck of a ship as she prepares to drop a rose into the ocean.

The pic is accompanied by a message from the 78-year-old Rock & Roll Corridor of Famer that reads, “My saddest second as a mom. On Thursday, July 19 2018, I stated my closing goodbye to my son, Craig Raymond Turner, after I gathered with household and pals to scatter his ashes off the coast of California.”

She added, “He was fifty-nine when he died so tragically, however he’ll at all times be my child.”

Craig Turner’s organic father was Raymond Hill, a saxophone participant who performed in Ike Turner’s band The Kings of Rhythm.
